About Studio MGH

Studio MGH was founded on a simple belief — that some of the most compelling American art of the 20th century is still waiting to be discovered.

Founded by Michele Hembree in 2015, Studio MGH is a dealer and curator specializing in rediscovered American art. With over 20 years of experience buying, selling, researching, and curating, and a background shaped by years living and working in San Francisco and New York, the focus has always been on the work that got left behind — paintings, drawings, and works on paper that spent decades in estates, attics, and private collections, unseen.

The mission is straightforward: find it, understand it, and bring it to the people who will value it.
